Cedar Drive Anti-Bullying Workshop
Today was exciting! At first I was very concerned that 42 minute session wasn't going to be enough time to get through all of our material but the Cedar Drive students helped make it work. Their participation made the workshops fun and engaging while we talked about some real heavy material. The S.R.S. (support, report, stand-up) tool to be an ally seemed to really stick with them, as did the clip on cyberbullying.

Welcome!
Hi there! and welcome to my Creating Community Group profile page.
Like the other facilitators I am a graduate from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). At TCNJ I studied political science and international studies and became very passionate about social issues like poverty and homelessness. My goal in life is to empower communities (like schools or neighborhoods) to live in happier and more sustainable ways.
My favorite thing to do is travel. I love meeting new people, learning about new cultures, and trying new foods. I dream of one day traveling around the world and going to every country.
After graduating from college I worked as a student organizer for TCNJ where I organized students into volunteer opportunities in Trenton. Doing this allowed me to learn a lot about New Jersey and some of the problems families are facing.
Recently I have been traveling. A month ago I rode my bicycle to Maine (it took me 8 days) where I volunteered for an organization that tries to protect minority groups.
I am very excited about being a part of the Creating Community Group and hope that I can spread my passion for tolerance and community development to youth all around New Jersey. If you have any questions for me or the Creating Community Group please feel free to pass us a message!
